Abiding Is our Fuel

Speaker: Michael Swearingen

Main Text: Acts 2:42-47

Description: Following Jesus is not simply about trying harder to live a Christian life. We need a relationship with God that continually shapes and strengthens us. Because of Jesus, we have access to God’s presence and can come to Him with our needs, questions, struggles, and worship. Prayer and time with God are not just religious routines. They are how we learn to depend on Him and allow Him to transform our lives.

The early church understood that staying connected to God was essential to their faith. As we rediscover the rhythms of the early church, we are invited to build practices that help us abide with God through prayer, Scripture, worship, and intentional time in His presence. Spiritual growth does not happen simply by attending church or knowing more about the Bible. It happens as we remain connected to Jesus and allow His presence to become the source of how we live, serve, love, and follow Him.
