Joseph

Speaker: Michael Swearingen

Main Text: Genesis 45:1-9

Description: What do you do when life takes an unexpected turn and you find yourself in a place you never wanted to be? The story of Joseph in Genesis 37–45 is a powerful reminder that difficult seasons do not have to define your future. Betrayed by his brothers, sold into slavery, falsely accused, and forgotten in prison, Joseph experienced one “pit” after another. Yet God was still working, even when Joseph couldn’t see what was happening.

This message explores how God can use the hardest seasons of our lives to grow our faith, shape our character, and prepare us for what comes next. Your pain, failure, betrayal, or difficult season may be a chapter in your story, but it does not have to be the ending. You don't grow faith on the mountain. You grow it in the pit.
